Before you submit
Agronomy supports open access to research records. Producing and maintaining scholarly articles can involve editorial coordination, preparation, publication and long-term access costs. Where an article processing charge applies, it is considered only after the editorial decision.
No charge is due at submission
Authors are not asked to pay when submitting a manuscript. Editorial assessment and peer review take place independently of an author’s ability to pay. If a manuscript is accepted and a charge applies, the corresponding author receives the relevant instructions before publication.
Charge information
The archived source for this page listed fixed charges and tax rules that may no longer be current. To avoid presenting outdated financial information, authors should request the applicable amount and terms directly before making publication plans.
For current information about charges, tax treatment, institutional arrangements or documentation, contact info@agronomyjournal.it-html.com. Include the manuscript reference if one has already been assigned.
How the process works
Submit
Send the manuscript for editorial consideration without paying a publication charge.
Decision
The editorial and peer-review process proceeds separately from financial administration.
Confirmation
After acceptance, applicable terms and next steps are confirmed with the corresponding author.
Discount and waiver requests
Authors who need financial consideration should raise the request after receiving an acceptance decision and before publication arrangements are completed. Requests are assessed individually and are not automatic.
- Explain the circumstances briefly and provide the manuscript reference.
- Make the request as soon as possible after acceptance.
- Wait for written confirmation before assuming that a reduction or waiver applies.
- Approval for one manuscript does not transfer to another author, article or publication record.
What is included
- Coordination of the accepted manuscript through the publication workflow.
- Preparation of the article record and available reading formats.
- Online publication and inclusion in the Agronomy Journal issue and archive structure.
- Ongoing discoverability through the site’s search and browsing tools.
